One of Osaka’s most esteemed eateries, the Michelin two-starred Sushiyoshi, has chosen Hong Kong for its first overseas outpost. Based in Tsim Sha Tsui’s Otto Hotel, the restaurant is renowned for chef/owner Hiroki Nakanoue’s modern take on traditional edomae style sushi, infusing Japanese tradition with influences from elsewhere in Asia and the West to create contemporary sushi bites. Signature dishes include waffle with scallop tartare and caviar d’Aquitaine uni rice. “Sushiyoshi Hong Kong will offer the authentic Sushiyoshi experience, not the usual Sushi meal. It’s a playful one for people who love sushi,” says Nakanoue, adding that all dishes are prepared in a theatrical manner in front of guests to heighten the dining experience.
