Twists on Thai

Brining contemporary twists on Thai food to Tsim Sha Tsui East is the recently opened Namo, overseen by Chiang Mai native chef Wijannarongk Kunchit and Spanish chef Alejandro Sanchez. At the indoor-outdoor space, diners can expect dishes like the ‘tuk tuk tofu’ – Japanese tofu coated in desiccated coconut and topped with chili jam – Iberico pork belly in red curry, and moules marinières, a traditionally French dish served here in a broth of chili, galangal, and coconut. The drinks list features cocktails inspired by Thai flavours, like the Basil and Lime (basil, lime gin and rum) and the Ginger Sling (vodka, rum, mango, ginger and strawberry). The restaurant sports a clean, modern design with a mix of tables and quiet booths, but on warm summer nights, the outdoor terrace will prove a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of Tsim Sha Tsui. www.chiram.com.hk
